Jared D. Shepherd

Mr. Shepherd joined the firm in 2013. His practice focuses on litigation and municipal government, including land use planning, zoning, code enforcement, and related constitutional and civil rights claims. Mr. Shepherd also represents private clients in general civil litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shepherd traveled extensively working for the Peace Corps as well as human rights and civil liberties organizations. Mr. Shepherd graduated summa cum laude from Southwest Missouri State University and holds a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Mr. Shepherd is the co-author of ‘In Land We Trust’: The Endorois’ Communication and the Quest for Indigenous Peoples’ Rights in Africa, 16 Buff. Hum. Rts. L. Rev. 57 (2010). He is admitted to practice in state and federal court in Minnesota and in the state of Alabama.
